Our agreement
These Terms are between you and Dan Cseko, an individual operating LoveButton from New York, USA. You must be at least 18 years old and authorized to connect the accounts you use. By accepting these Terms, you agree to them and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not connect accounts or use the service; deletion and support remain available.
What LoveButton provides
LoveButton displays connected playback, saves favorites you request, offers song links and sends qualified listening to Last.fm when scrobbling is enabled. Features depend on compatible browsers, extensions, companions, networks and third-party services. Some integrations are experimental or platform-specific.
The current beta is free. You are responsible for devices, connectivity and separate provider subscriptions. We will disclose prices and obtain any required agreement before introducing paid features; these Terms do not authorize future charges.
Accounts, permissions and choices
Connect only accounts you own or are authorized to use. Keep devices and accounts secure, review permissions and tell us about suspected unauthorized access. Never share passwords, tokens or pairing codes with support.
YouTube favorites go to the channel shown in Settings, which may differ from your playback account. The heart requests a like or removal of a like; it does not create a dislike. Both also requests a Last.fm favorite. Each service may process its action independently.
The extension shares playback only after your consent. You can pause sharing or disconnect; pairing another browser replaces the previous connection during the beta. YouTube Music scrobbling starts enabled when Last.fm is connected unless you opted out. Its switch is independent of your favorite destination; the opt-out persists.
“Checking…” means a provider has not confirmed the final state. Allow reconciliation before another action. Offline favorite changes are not queued. We cannot guarantee instantaneous updates, every scrobble’s delivery or identification of every recording.
Acceptable use and ownership
Use the service for lawful, intended purposes. Do not interfere with other accounts, bypass controls or quotas, distribute malicious software, abuse the service or violate others’ rights. You are responsible for content and links you share and any necessary rights or permissions.
You retain your rights in your information and permit us to process it only to provide the requested service and as described in the Privacy Policy. Music, artwork, trademarks and third-party content remain their owners’ property. These Terms grant no right to distribute music. Separately licensed open-source software remains governed by its license; these Terms do not remove those rights.
Connected services
LoveButton uses YouTube API Services. By using its YouTube features, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. See Google’s Privacy Policy. Last.fm, Apple, Roon, MusicLink and other providers have their own applicable terms.
Providers control their services and may change APIs, availability, eligibility or limits. LoveButton is independent. Store availability or verification does not mean a provider endorses LoveButton.
Changes, suspension and leaving
You may stop at any time. Disconnecting a provider stops its connection; signing out ends the selected session. Use Delete LoveButton account or our support deletion process to remove your account. This does not undo likes or scrobbles stored by other services.
We may change, suspend or discontinue beta features, or restrict access where reasonably necessary for security, abuse prevention, legal compliance or service operation. We give reasonable notice where practicable; urgent security or legal issues may require immediate action. Your applicable access and deletion rights remain available.
Revised Terms are dated. Material changes are explained in the app and require acceptance before continued use of connected features. Changes do not retroactively remove accrued rights.
Availability and responsibility
To the extent permitted by law, the beta is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that every feature is accurate, error-free or compatible with every provider.
To the extent permitted by law, Dan Cseko is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or lost profits, arising from use of or inability to use the service. This does not exclude or limit liability for fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence or anything that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. No fixed monetary liability cap applies.
Nothing here waives mandatory consumer protections or statutory rights. Where an exclusion or disclaimer is not permitted, it applies only to the extent allowed by law.
New York law and contact
New York law governs these Terms, excluding conflict-of-laws rules, except where mandatory law gives you other protections. Disputes may be brought in courts with competent jurisdiction in New York, subject to mandatory rights to bring proceedings elsewhere. These Terms do not require arbitration or waive class-action rights.
If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining Terms continue to apply to the extent permitted by law. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms, the Privacy Policy and applicable separate software licenses describe the agreement for the current service.
